Katie and Sam celebrated their wedding recently and I was thrilled to be part of such a fantastic celebration. A gorgeous spot for a wedding, Sandy Cove located just outside Ilfracombe, definitely gave a special vibe to the event. This wasn't the first time I had photographed at Sandy Cove, one of my favourites venues for weddings. I photographed every detail of the developing story as the bridal party finished doing their hair and makeup and I popped in on Sam whilst he got ready with his brothers and Grandfather helping out with cufflinks and ties.

The photographs I took of the ceremony definitely have a "love is in the air" feel to them what with Sam wiping away a tear as katie approached him down the aisle. After the ceremony I began searching for moments that would help to tell the story of the day. Summer weddings are always fantastic to photograph and I made sure to make the most of the venue during the portraits. It was lovely to see the sun out on the day, which is what all brides wish for on their wedding day, and meant we could all spend some time outdoors. I really enjoy photographing the speeches as a wedding photographer because it's all about showing the emotions of the wedding party and there were more than a few tears during these ones. After we'd headed to Hele beach for some photos it was time to begin the evening celebrations. I really enjoyed photographing this special day and I thoroughly enjoyed telling their story.
