Nikki & Steve came to me on a recommendation from another photographer who was already booked. It was a bit last minute but after our initial meeting they booked and we arranged the pre wedding shoot with the two of them and their three kids, the youngest being called Stanley, a good solid name, my son is also called Stan :) Their wedding was at Country Ways in High Bickington, its been a good few years since I was last there and the new owner Sue has really made the most of it. Its a lovely venue overlooking the valley and suited Nikki and Steve's 'wedding vision' down to a tee. It was a lovely sunny day and the venue was filled with lots of little details and wild flowers. The packed lunch boxes were just brilliant, yes, I had one, with homemade pasties and quiche, fruit and pickles, perfect for a summer wedding in the heart of the Devon countryside. The evening buffet a Pizza Van, yes, I had one, first time I'd seen that but it worked a treat.
This was a very informal and relaxed day, it was so relaxed we stopped the couple portraits for a cuppa and just sat and chatted for a bit in one of the cottages. It was just how they'd wanted it and it was a pleasure to be part of it.
