I headed off to Tunnels Beaches in Ilfracombe to photograph my first of many weddings this year. As with most of Tunnels clients Rose and Ashley are not local so it was great to finally meet them after many a chat and email.
The weather fortunately was glorious and the was to be ceremony outside overlooking the beach with the sun shining, lovely. I'd started by meeting with the girls for some prep photos and then ventured into the Tunnel to find Ashley and his best man.
With the Bride ready and Ashley looking nervous it was time for the off and all went swimmingly except for the registrar moving in my way just at the point of the first kiss, I could've kicked him! Fortunately my second shooter, Sarah captured the moment and with the sun shining we moved onto the beach for a canape and a glass of bubbly or two. Some rock climbing and stone skimming later we all ventured back up to the stunning venue for the buffet outside with the weather still on our side. A cracking day was had by all and I was amazed with the weather the previous day had been awful and I was not looking forward to it, but as usual the Tunnels triumphed again ordering up some spring sunshine and lots of happy people.
