As soon as I met Jane & Rich we hit it off. Rich's brother Kevin had been given the task to choose their wedding photographer for their Woolhanger wedding, being a part-time tog himself. Jane had found a few photographers she liked the look of and showed Kev, "Which one shall we choose Kev? "That one, Michael Wells" Thanks Kev :)
They met at Barnardo's where they have both worked for many years and were friends for a good while before they got together. Richard proposed in Barcelona on the 10th Anniversary of their first date and they tied the knot just a week short of their 11th.
Jane's family have been holidaying in the Lynton area for almost 50 years. That tie stems back to the first time her Mum and Dad discovered the Rockford Inn whilst honeymooning, they then brought Jane & her Sister to Exmoor every year. As a couple Jane & Rich visit the area at least twice a year and have some wonderful memories so they thought it was the natural choice for them to tie the knot.
It was fantastic day and yet again the Devon weather played its part, it was nearly October, but everyone had a great day. Atfer the ceremony we, Jane, Rich and I snuck away to a quiet spot for some B&G photos. The party was epic and Rich and his band, he's the guitarist, played a set of their own tunes before Rich sang a song he'd written especially for Jane, a beautiful moment.
At the end of a very busy day I started to pack up, then The Wedding Spinner played Guns and Roses, someone had mentioned they were a favourite of the grooms earlier in the day so I opened up my bag grabbed a camera and flash and headed back to the dance floor hoping the room was jumping, it was. I'm so glad I did, I got some great photos at this point and one of Jane behind the decks. Sometimes you just have to go that extra mile and it'll pay off, this time it really did. Congratulations once again Jane & Rich, Love Mike.
