In June I photographed the wedding of Nadya & Alex. They tied the knot at Heanton Church overlooking the Royal Marine base at Chivenor, wher Alex was once stationed. We had tried on several occiasions to meet to discuss their day but we hadn't managed it. So, on this sunny summers day I went off to The Elmfeild in Ilfracombe, venue for both the prep and reception. I was warmly greeted by Nadya and her ladies all excited for the big day. When they were all ready Nadya's Dad came into the room to see his daughter for the first time in her dress, I'll always remeber the way he came in, he peeped round the door like a naughty schoolboy and his face on seeing his daughter was a picture, no pun intended.
I headed off to Heanton for the ceremony and to meet Alex, his brother and friend all looking their best in their dress uniforms. After a heavy dose of confetti we all headed back to Ilfracombe for the afternoon. I took the newlyweds up to the top f the Torrs, the first time I have ever taken a B&G up there, but it certaily wont be the last. The views from the top are definatley worth the effort. West to Woolacombe and the Atlantic and East to Exmoor, the views are spectacular especailly on such a beautiful day. Nadya scared some sheep, Alex stepped ina bit pile os s**t and then nearly lost his beret over the cliff edge when the wind took hold. It was quickly recovered. I only had a few hours with these guys, just as they wanted, but I had a great time with them and their friends and families. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Crosbie, Mike
