In the first of my weddings at Tunnels Beaches this year it was the turn of Kirstie and Chris to tie the knot. We spent a lovely afternoon together last year in the city of Bath for their pre wedding shoot and meeting.
Kirstie used to attend University in Bath so the city holds lots of memories for her. Its also whilst at Uni that they met. Kirstie was on a work placement in Hastings at a gym where, as luck would have it, Chris was a member. They were introduced by some of her new friends and things bossomed from there :)
Our day started out with preparations at the wonderful Bath House and the entrance to the Tunnels Beaches. The talented Connie of Iconic Hair and Make-Up was on hand to make everyone look their best, along with endless tea and biscuits it was a fantasticly relaxed morning, not the usual mayhem of a wedding morning, which in its own right can be just a brilliant with the buzz of excitement, there was still the buzz but in a much more realxed atmosphere.
Both Bride and Groom were staying at the Bath House so there was lots of ushers and bridesmaids doing military style recon before either of them left or entered a room. I found chris lurking in the basement and after a few photos we and the other gents headed off down to the beach for a few more photos. I then headed back to find the ladies and Kirstie in the last stages of getting ready.
Once the day kicked off it was a brilliant day, Pete, Kirstie Dad, was so happy and proud to be walkng his Daughter down the aisle. The weather was kind to us even if it was a bit fresh. They ate outside, they had plenty of pashminas to keep the chill off, then headed inside for the speeches, a very funny half hour. The sun streamed into the venue at this point and I got my favourite first dance photo ever, I just love the light and expressions in this shot. We did manage to get onto the beach for some sunset photos although at one point we thought we might get blown away but the sea breeze! Yet another fantastic wedding at the Tunnels, congratulations Mr & Mrs Rogers.
