Jenni & Martin were married early this summer in Morchard Bishop before heading up to the Woolacombe Bay Hotel for their wedding breakfast and evening reception. When I first chatted to these two over the phone in the Spring one of the first things they said was that they didnt like to have their photo taken, not an uncommon comment. I assured Jen especially as she said she didnt like any photos of herself, I said that I hadn't taken her photo yet and to just wait and see.
We met at Lynmouth a few weeks later for a stroll up to Watersmeet and for a few photos to help them to relax on the wedding day. They both found this very useful and they said they were both less worried about having their photos taken especially once they had seen the results, Jen even said she loved the photos of herself, a first! That set me in good sted for their wedding day.
I met with Martin at the church in Morchard Bishop with the heavens opening and giving us all a soggy start to the day. Along came Jenni looking beautiful and the ceremony went off without a hitch, except that Martin forgot to give Jen a kiss and had to be prompted into action, a great moment. We headed up to Woolacombe after some group photos inside the church, still raining, for their afternoon. By the time we got there the rain was clearing and the sun was showing its face. The couple had decorated the room beautifully with little touches, the favours were kilner jars for everyone to have their tipple instead of traditonal wine glasses and the speeches were great, Martin's brother did a rap with his own lyrics to Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby, brilliant! We headed to the beach after and the weather was amazing by then. By this point Jen & Mog, as he is affectionately known by his close family, were very chilled and relaxed about their photos and even seemed to enjoy it, that might be pushing it, lol. We got some great photos on the beach and when the sun started to set over Woolacombe, oh and few funny ones of Jen and her bridesmaids attempting to play ping pong in big dresses. Congratualtions Mr & Mrs Mog :)
