I'd been looking forward to photographing this wedding at Westcott Barton for a long time. Not only was it at a venue I had not shot at before but also the groom was the son of a former work colleague, so I knew it would be a very fun and friendly group. It had been very tough for all involved leading up to the day with a close family member being very ill less than a week before, which just added to the significance and emotion of the day.
I started as ever with the Bride and her ladies having their hair and make up done at Westcott, the bubbly was already flowing when I got there and Kristie had one of her best friends come over from Spain to be her bridesmaid. The day went off without a hitch. The beautiful bride Kristie beamed her lovely smile all day and Jordan, after his nervous start to the day was all smiles as soon as his Bride to be walked down the aisle. The speeches were great and along with everyone else I had a tear in my eye when Tony stood up and said a few words about family. Spending the day with a couple surrounded by the ones they love is always a pleasure to witness and photograph. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Alcock, thank you letting me part of your day.
